Spring Festival Trip Part 2

Ankang to Chengdu and back to Guangzhou

Now we resume our trip in Ankang, near Xi'an. We got the chance to spend Chinese New Year here with Sophia and her family who were incredibly warm and inviting to us. We had a ton of fun and great food. We went with the family on their usual Spring Festival rounds, taking offerings to the temples in town, visiting friends, and burning offering money at ancestor's grave. It was really great to see how fa,ilies celebrate together here in China. After that we made our way to Chengdu, the home of the giant panda! Now pics :)

Spring Festival Trip

Part One

Hello from China!!! We are currently in Xi'an taking a break from the craziness for a little bit. The traveling has been a very interesting learning experience. We have visited Haerbin, one of the coldest cities in China, climbed the Great Wall, seen the Terra-cotta warriors, and braved the intense Chinese trains during holiday time. It has been amazing, here I can share a few of our favorite pictures so far :)

9001.jpg
